Is a certificate of authenticity provided?All artworks for sale on the collection – gallery of digital art come with a certificate of authenticity that is signed by the artist. Furthermore, all editions (photographs, prints etc.) are numbered and signed by the artist.

What is an edition?An edition is the specific and limited number of prints that has been created by the artist before the first sale, and this number will not change. In general, the smaller the edition size, the higher the price.

Is framing available for all works?You can see if the framing of a work is available, when you click on the information of the artwork and can choose between buying solely the print or the print in a frame. By the way, the information regarding the frame can also be seen as a recommendation of the artist, in case you decide not to buy the artwork framed.

Who is responsible for the cost of framing?When the artwork is already framed, then the frame is a part of the work and therefore included in the price.

How do I properly treat the artwork?If you have bought a digital photography or digital drawing, you will find gloves within your delivered package. Please make sure to always wear them, when handling the artwork. Furthermore, the prints as well as the frames may not be exposed, either in whole or in part, to direct sunlight, may not be hung directly over heaters and may not be exposed to humidity levels exceeding those of normal living rooms. Accordingly, pictures, printed matter, photographs and frames are not suitable for outdoor use, basements, bathrooms and kitchens. Laminations with UV protective film or acrylic glass and wooden frames are very sensitive to scratches and stains and may therefore also only be handled with gloves or comparable protection.

How much of what I pay goes to the artist?the collection – gallery of digital art is a hybrid gallery-model which does not only show the artworks online but also at exhibitions in various spaces and at art fairs. However, it does not matter, if you buy the artwork online, at a fair or at an exhibition, the artist always gets 70% of the selling price (excl. shipping costs). This way the collection – gallery of digital art makes sure to reach its aim of supporting emerging artists.

Do you offer recommendations and advice?Of course, an important role as an agent of the artists is to introduce collectors to an artist´s work – so please don´t hesitate to contact me via office@thecollection-gallery.com and I will get back to you within 2 working days.

Do I have to pay for the Art Advisory service?Not at all – it is a key part of the gallery´s mission to introduce collectors to new artworks.

I want to give art as a present but I don’t know what to choose. What can I do?It’s a great idea to give art as a gift! However, it can be tricky to choose an artwork for another person, even if you know them well. An option would be to talk about the person you want to give art to, and think about what they like and what would suit their home. Then the gallery can offer you a personalised selection within your budget.

How are the artworks packaged?The works are packaged by the artist and follow a standardised packaging process. We confirm the packaging with the artist before shipping and take care to make sure the work is properly protected.

How long does the delivery take?Usually, the delivery takes on a maximum of up to 14 working days. Our artists will endeavour to dispatch the artwork within seven working days of confirmation of the order, although this cannot be guaranteed and time shall not be of the essence. The time may also vary depending on the artist´s availability, potential printing and framing of the work and the distance between the artist´s studio and your home. Whatever happens, the collection – gallery of digital art will keep you updated.

Which countries do you deliver to?the collection – gallery of digital art delivers everywhere, or in any case in all countries that our delivery companies operate in! If you are unsure or have any questions, please write an email to office@thecollection-gallery.com

Where is the shipment with my artwork coming from?Almost all artworks are dispatched from the artist’s studio directly. Your shipment will therefore be coming from their country of residence.

Will I pay customs & import duties on top of the shipping costs?Possibly. Depending on the destination, your shipment may be subject to Customs and Excise Duty as well as Value Added Tax payment. The regulations differ from country to country. Please check what custom charges may be applicable in your country of residence.

Can you lower the value on my invoice to avoid import duties?Unfortunately not. All shipment must be shipped with a commercial invoice declaring the true value of the artwork. This way, your artwork will also be fully insured during transit.

Can I combine shipments?This varies. If you order several artworks from one artist in the same transaction, these will most likely be combined (depending on the size of the artworks) and your shipping fee will automatically be adjusted accordingly. Shipments from different artists however, will not be combined.

Can I get artworks delivered to a different country or to a different person?the collection – gallery of digital art will deliver to the address you gave on your order. Generally, the gallery sets the delivery date with the person who will receive the work and whose name you gave.

The artwork was damaged when it arrived. What should I do?If the artwork is damaged at the time of delivery, you will have to notify the collection – gallery of digital art within 48 hours of delivery. Please also note that you are obligated to take high-resolution images of the freshly delivered, damaged package once before and once after opening it. The pictures as well as the complaint are to be sent to the following email address: office@thecollection-gallery.com. the collection – gallery of digital art will then be responsible for handling the complaint with the delivery company. the collection – gallery of digital art will stay in close contact with the buyer in order to tell him/her about the following steps, especially, in regard to sending the artwork back to the seller. Usually, you will have to return the package within ten days of the date on which you received your order. If it is made sure that the damage was either done by the transport or the artist, the return will be organised and the costs will be paid by the collection – gallery of digital art. You can then either get paid back or get a new print of the artwork within fourteen days of the date on which the gallery receives the damaged artwork. Please note that the refund is only made to the purchaser of the artwork and will be refunded directly to the original payment method.

The focus lies on providing emerging artists a platform to promote and sell their work in order to support their career. This is mainly done via the gallery´s website as well as through social media channels. the collection – gallery of digital art functions as an agent for the artists – therefore, the artists remain the role of the sellers. If an artwork is sold, the gallery gets a commission of 30% of the total selling price (excl. processing & shipping costs).

How can I be represented by the collection – gallery of digital art?If you are interested in being represented by the collection – gallery of digital art, please send your portfolio in PDF format to: office@thecollection-gallery.com. This document should include images of your available artworks listed with the following information: title, technique, size and optionally a suggested price for each artwork. Please include your artist biography and a short statement about your work as well. It will take a few days to review your submission and if interested, the gallery will contact you and will make an appointment with you in order to personally getting to know each other and talking through the gallery agreement. After this meeting both parties still have time to reflect and decide, if the collaboration is right for them.

Do you require exclusivity?The artists sign an agreement for only those artworks which are featured on the website. These pieces then are available exclusively via the collection – gallery of digital art and may not be sold privately or via another gallery.

Do I have to ship my own artworks?the collection – gallery of digital art coordinates all shipping processes. You will be responsible for packaging the artworks with care so that they can be shipped safely and for handing them over to the courier. The gallery will take it from there.

Who pays for the shipments?The shipping fees are paid by the collector. You will not be responsible for any of the shipping fees - just for the costs of packaging material.

Can I pay you to promote my work on your website or social media?No. the collection – gallery of digital art works with hand-selected artists and does not do paid promotions.

Do you represent artists from anywhere?the collection - gallery of digital art mainly represents artists with a business location within an EU-country. However, please feel free to send in your submission to office@thecollection-gallery.com, from wherever you are located.
